Filming the preliminary task.
After writeing the script and producing a shot plan I was ready to film the preliminary task, It however took some time as one of my original actors was unavailable, eventually I found someone. Both my actors were short for time so rather than waist time going through the script I asked them to give a basic introduction (who? what? where?). A few lines did have to be repeated to allow me to get in each shot type but over all the filming went well. It will be edited and added to the blog soon.

Script
Once I had got the hang of the three shot types I had to write a short script, this took some time but eventually I had ideas and soon had it finished. I used several films and trailers for inspiration Including "The Devide," "28 days later" and "Specter" which is as of yet un released.

Script
*characters take their seats*
Character 1- What would you do if you woke up tomorrow and everyone was gone?
Character 2- What? Gone like, as in dead and gone or just... vanished?
Character 1- either... you wake up and everyone is dead... a nuclear attack or zombies... whatever.
Character 2- I’d uh... try to survive...
Character 1- how? What would you do? Where would you go?
Character 2- I’d gather what I could, food, medicine and stuff, maybe a knife, I dunno.
Character 1- No weapon, you haven’t played many survival horror games have you, not even watched a post apocalypse movie?
Character 2- I don’t watch movies but... I play COD.
Character 1- *groans* COD, is not a survival horror game, good thing Preliminary task research
The preliminary task involves a continuity task involving filming and editing a character opening a door, crossing a room and sitting down in a chair opposite another character, with whom she/he then exchanges a couple of lines of dialogue. This task should demonstrate match on action, shot/reverse shot and the 180 degree rule.
Before this could begin I had to research these three key elements.
